If you opt for a heavily planted tank you should consider that it takes a lot of care and maintenece. You should feed the plants depending on the amount of plants and what type of fertiliser you use. This will help the plants grow and thrive.

Another thing is Co2. Co2 helps the plants thrive as plants take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. The oxygen then is used by the fish to breathe. The amount of Co2 most tanks have is a bubble every second. This means spending a lot of money on refills.

As well as all this regular pruning is needed to stop the plants from going out of control and ruining your display. Aquarium plant shears should do the job.

Thanks for reading,
